Mission Statement
The mission of the Academy of Information Technology is to prepare students to enter the business world and successfully participate in a rapidly-changing, culturally-diverse global society by using human and technological resources in the school environment, in the business community, and in the family setting.
Vision
The Vision of the Academy of Information Technology is that it will provide our students context rich courses, following the NAF newly devised curriculum that integrates classroom and workplace learning experiences to enable students to compete in a global society. The academy programs at Miami Norland are standards-driven. NAF courses will provide contest to enrich an already rigorous academic curriculum. Students will not only gain the knowledge necessary to continue their education in the field, but will also have the opportunity to gain experience through visitations, job shadowing, and internships.
What is the Academy of Information Technology?
The Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) reveals itself to be an affiliate of the National Academy Foundation (NAF). The National Academy Foundation serves as a key intermediary with 20-plus years’ experience bringing the worlds of education and business together. The Academy of Information Technology is a program of study that introduces students to the broad career opportunities in today’s digital workforce. The program equips students with personal, analytical, technical and communication skills needed for success. The academy serves students of all abilities. Information technology is a broad, ever-growing field. Over 10 million people are employed in IT related jobs. |
